Interests
I enjoy writing, listening to music, archery, swimming, horse-riding, and reading, mostly fiction writing, semi-psychological texts and the various ancient mythologies. I am very interested and have participated frequently in acting, mostly on stage but some amateur films, I also enjoy watching films and the cinema, especially special effects and interesting, thought-provoking storylines.
I like to play badminton, tennis, pool, and computer games, mostly RPGs, adventure games or sneak-em-ups. My hobbies also include roleplaying, favouring D&D, Fireborn, Exalted and Warhammer, singing and playing the piano. The former often places me as the organiser and creator of the content for the games, and as a result I have learnt empathy, tact, balancing power levels and lateral thinking. I often sketch, paint and write short stories in my spare time. I can model in clay, and create most shapes I desire by a combination of existing metal models and modelling putty. I also create images in 3D for my personal collection, and requests for others (not commissions).
I am the leader of my moderately successful pre-release guild for the upcoming Warhammer: Age of Reckoning, the Silver Court, which has taught me diplomacy, problem solving skills, and the near infinite limits of my patience. It is a group of about twenty-five people who roleplay using forum-based collaborative creative writing.
Additional Information
I am conscientious, hard-working, excel both on my own or in a team. I am positive, friendly, principled and honest, which often helps in disputes and dealing with the public. I am intelligent, considerate and efficient, with an excellent understanding of computer graphics and software. I am reliable, and good-natured, easy-going and able to adapt quickly to a changing environment and new programs.
In 2002, I created a roleplaying campaign setting based on the 3rd Edition D&D d20 rules set called Faith. It incorporated a rich background, several in-character tomes and many new races, classes, skills, opponents and locations. It was a challenge to do, and a great reward as well, and hopefully will be privately published for ease of use sometime in the near future.
My favourite Game Designers are Ron Gilbert of Maniac Mansion and Monkey Island fame, Warren Spector who did the excellent, original and genre-bending System Shock, Deus Ex, Thief and Thief 2, and of course Roberta Williams who has a special place for designing the King’s Quest games.
Date of Birth 11/01/1984
Nationality British Citizen
Driving Licence Yes (Clean)
